Making It To The Gym.

I'm not saying I'm one of those fitness girls that inspires you to go to the gym, but I am an inspired girl who wants to look like those fitness girls. I have longed for the tighter core, amazing glutes, and overall better health.

Starting college, I thought it would be easy to go to the gym because they are free and in walking distance. However, classes and going to parties every other weekend soon got in the way of the gym goals I set for myself. It was only when I realized that I need to find something that makes me feel good about myself and helps me to be more productive during the week that made me decide to just go. I have a mentor at my University that told me the hardest part about trying to go to the gym or go consistently is making it to the gym. She told me all I had to do was make it to the gym and if I don't like it after a few minutes I could leave, which wasn't the case. I actually wanted to go to the gym and workout because it made me feel good about myself that I was doing something productive. So, making it to the gym is hard as hell but once you do make it to the gym and start working out you realize it is not that bad and that the only hard part is walking to the gym and take the time to go to the gym. I don't think I have ever heard anyone say " I didn't like the feeling of working out" or "I wanted to leave the gym in the first 5 minutes" because working out makes you feel good even if the workout is brutal.

So, to anyone reading this try to make it to the gym because that is the hardest part about the gym is making it there. And once you make it to the gym stay for an hour, get on the treadmill or find a yoga mat and do some exercises or stretches. Make going to the gym count if you are going to go.
