Investing As A College Student

College is the time to meet new people and party. This is something I have definitely been doing but I have also been saving for life after college. My first year of college has flown by in a blink in the eye and by the end of my college experience, I want to see more progress in my life than moving from parties to kickbacks to the club or a huge circle of friends to a smaller close-knit one. Since starting college in August 2019, I decided I wanted to start investing which has been extremely motivating for me to save money. Let me give you guys a quick timeline of how my August went. August 10- I turned 18 August 20- I deposited $220.95 into Robinhood August 26- I brought 1 share of AAPL at $210.43 *I still own 1 share of AAPL, but I hope to buy at least 3 more shares to hold for a few years. As of 1-12-2020 AAPL is worth $310.74. Which means that I have profited +$100.31 !!* I think that a lot of people especially college students have the belief that you cannot

It's Alright To Say No

Yes, this is another lengthy blog post. Tips at the bottom for when it's time to say "No." I just got through the first week of my second semester of college and it has been rough. I live in South Carolina where the weather is about as bipolar as the people and the weather truly messed up my week because I am prone to getting sick with changes in weather. Monday it was thundering and pouring down rain all day, Tuesday rained on and off and was muggy, Wednesday and Thursday felt like summertime everyone pulled out short sleeves and some even had shorts and crop tops on. Friday the temperature dropped to 50 degrees which in South Carolina is freezing. I say how crappy the weather was because of every weather change last week on top of my horrible allergies caused me to get sick and sicker. Am I Too Young To Be Stressing About My Finances?

It's the new thing to be budgeting and to be investing in your twenty's. But does that apply to teenagers, especially college students? All throughout high school, I was saving money here and there but now that I am in college now I feel as though I my bank account should look more impressive. Am I being dramatic or should I be stressing my finances more so. Every article I seem to read lately is geared towards mid twenty's to thirty's but why not college students. I'm only 18 and it seems like I am so stressed on finding the number, yeah the number,to stop saving at, to relax. Does that exist for an 18 yr old or anyone in college, a number, they can reach and they forget this I'll continue saving when I get my real "adult" job. If there's not a number for me to reach and I am just saving money to save, should I be investing?
